1920's Style Flapper Headpiece Class
In this 4-1/2 hour class, each student will create a fabulous 1920's inspired headpiece of crinoline, millinery wire, and trims attached to a small sinamay straw base. Crinoline, also known as horsehair or "crin," is a sheer material of polyester that is frequently used in millinery. Crinoline is available in several widths (1" - 6") and in lots of colors. Students will learn how to drape the crinoline and sew it to wire to create a headband (1") or veil (3-6"). Students will also learn how to create a crinoline rose, which will be the focal point of the design.
The class fee of $125 includes all supplies.
Beginning level class. Previous hand sewing skills recommended.
